Teacher Directions, Forms, and Resources
Thank you for your interest in participating with your class in the Virtue Strengths Survey: God gives the growth.
This online portal will give you access to directions, forms, and supporting instructional materials. Below, you’ll find a brief outline of the instructional content. You will can find more detailed instructions (and video lengths) for each of the parts of this “course” of supporting resources in the navigation menu to the left.
We recommend adding the course home page to your favorites. It is not accessible through the main site menu. See “Pin this Page.”
You can take the survey here: https://plus.openlightmedia.com/education-in-virtue/virtuquest-strengths-survey/
The survey takes about 45 minutes. We highly recommend using some of the optional follow-up lesson resources. Here are suggestions for what to do with the time you are able to dedicate: Traditional Class Periods | Block Schedules
There are three main components to the optional follow-up lessons. Feel free to use and adapt the provided resources:
- Catholic Anthropology and the Virtues: 90 min. max.– introduces the place of virtue in the context of all that God has revealed and gives an overview of each virtue included in the survey.
- Positive Psychology and the Virtues: 30 min. max.:
- Virtue Practicum: 60 min max. Students apply what they have learned in preceding units to examine how they can deliberately cultivate virtue and create a culture of virtue, where what is best in each person is recognized and valued.
You can assign any videos to student by linking to the corresponding lesson in the student resources here.
From the course nav sidebar, we recommend clicking into the top “unit” level of the resources. Handouts and instructions are often posted there.
