Teacher Survey Instructions
We recommend showing students the video “The Virtuous Life” from this section before beginning the survey. Links to the student videos are available to you on your video page, in case you wish to assign them for students to complete on their own. There is also a brief video at the end of the survey explaining how to understand the results; for this reason, headphones at the survey are recommended.
Survey administration information is below.
Survey Instructions:
We recommend that, before the administration period, you test the survey by completing the first few screens to make sure your school’s internet setup supports it. (You need not finish the survey.) https://plus.openlightmedia.com/education-in-virtue/virtuquest-strengths-survey/virtuquest-adult-virtue-strengths-survey/
If you encounter difficulties, please reach out to your school IT staff.
MATERIALS:
- Computer access
- Pen or pencil
- Notebook, planner, or another place to record return code.
- Survey results record handout (if there is no access to a printer)
- Headphones (recommended).
Instructions for students taking the survey:
Before starting the survey, you will need to tell the students three things:
- The address to go to online: https://plus.openlightmedia.com/education-in-virtue/virtuquest-strengths-survey/
- Whether they need to print or write down their results when finished
- Clarify what you want them to do when they finish the survey.
Recommendations for after the survey:
- After finishing, if students have already had formation on the virtues, they can go on to start the first Practicum lesson “P1 | Survey Results and Personal Growth” which includes a self-reflection sheet for their results.
- If students have not completed the videos on the virtues in Virtues and Catholic Anthropology they can watch the videos about their top virtues by clicking on the virtue on their results list. After this, they should be able to begin completing the first Practicum lesson “P1 | Survey Results and Personal Growth”
