SAINT

St. Noe Mawaggali

Noe was a craftsman in Uganda. Hearing of Christianity, he asked to be taught about the Faith. He began to walk forty-two miles each weekend to get to Mass, courageously crossing through the dangerous jungle. Eventually, he was baptized and began to instruct others in the Faith. Early one morning Noe was teaching two catechumens when a raiding party closed in on the house. They were ordered by King Mwanga to execute any Christians who clung to their faith. Noe heard the raiders outside and boldly went to meet them. “Here we are!” he exclaimed as his companions escaped.

PRACTICING FORTITUDE:

SCRIPTURE:

Romans 8:35-37
Who shall separate us fromthe love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? It is written, ‘For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerers through him who loved us.

The Gift of Fortitude perfects the virtue of Fortitude and its related virtues.
