Works of Mercy Bulletin and Handout
Disciple of Christ | Education in Virtue
These resources drawn from the Disciple of Mercy Journal will inspire you with creative ways to practice the Works of Mercy in daily life.
Often, during Lent, we think “what will I give up?” But what if we asked instead, “What can I take on?” This is the fast God desires:
“Is not this the fast that I choose:
… to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke?
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
and bring the homeless poor into your house;
when you see the naked, to cover him,
and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?” (Isaiah 58:6-7)
