Virtues in Language Arts

Lea Ann, teacher, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Middle School, Traverse City, MI
Students identify and analyze literary characters’ practice of virtue.

Lea Ann has developed this rubric in response to the novel: Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, Daughter of America. The rubric can be adapted to any novel that is read. This one is used by the sixth grade students in the Language Arts classes to connect the novel character to the life of virtue.
